Day 10 / Dzien 10.

Today we visited Brandon, the second largest city in Manitoba. We lingered at Starbucks (internet!), hit an independent bookstore and got some good coffee at a fair trade store. Then we drove through gorgeous Riding Mountain National Park. I hope we’ll be back to spend more time in it. We learned to avoid parks on long weekends…
Our plan was to stay for the night on Dauphin Lake but we drove around and it seemed that at least all of its southern shore was all private properties. And so we found a roadside park on our map and made our way to it. It turned out to be not a park, but a campground, in the middle of a small village, Laurier. It’s an honorary system here – you put money for your stay in a provided envelope. But the envelope deposit box has no bottom. I would hate to screw Laurier out of their money but how do you go about paying?

Dzisiaj odwiedzilismy Brandon, drugie co do wielkosci miasto Manitoby. Zasiedzielismy sie w Starbucksie (internet!), zaszlismy do niezaleznej ksiegarni i kupilismy dobra kawe w sklepie z towarami sprawiedliwego handlu. Potem przejechalismy przez malowniczy Park Narodowy Riding Mountain. Mam nadzieje, ze wrocimy do niego na dluzej. Nauczeni doswiadczeniem unikamy parkow w czasie dlugich weekendow…
