Day 68 / Dzien 68.

The day started with a trip to an oriental market for fresh stuffed buns right out of a steamer. Delicious!
We spent a couple of hours at the Vancouver Art Gallery and then strolled around Punjab Market, which is a very nice Indian/Pakistani neighborhood, before leaving the city.
I really liked Vancouver, even with all its dirt. The dining options made me very happy. During our short visit we had Japanese, Vietnamese, Turkish, Chinese, Indian and Ethiopian. Time to go, I'm probably already 5lb heavier.

- 'Have you purchased anything in Canada that you're bringing into the country?' - asked the American customs officer.
We carefully thought for a moment.
- 'No, sir. We've consumed everything.' - Lee replied.
The officer seemed disgusted with us.
- 'Just go. Good bye.' - we waved us off.
We've never made it across a border in less time.

We headed straight for Seattle to see one of our favorite couples: Ian and Duncan, who welcomed us with homemade pizza and late-night cookies. It's so good to be among friends.

Dzien rozpoczal sie wycieczka do orientalnego supermarketu po swieze nadziewane buly prosto z pary. Pycha!

- zapytal amerykanski celnik.
Starannie sie zastanowilismy.
- 'Nie, prosze pana. Wszystko skonsumowalismy.' - odpowiedzial Lee.
Celnik wydawal sie nami zdegustowany.
- 'Jedzcie. Zegnam'. - machnal/
Nigdy wczesniej tak szybko nie przekroczylismy granicy.

Pojechalismy prosto do Seattle, zeby odwiedzic jedna z naszych ulubionych par: Iana i Duncana, ktorzy przywitali nas pizza domowej roboty i pozno-nocnymi ciasteczkami. Dobrze jest byc wsrod przyjaciol.

  1. Hmmm. Considering Lee's hippy hat and your beat up van the customs officer probably had a very different idea about what you were consuming....
    Nice balls BTW
