Question 1: You’re in Prague. A sniper’s in the window above you. There’s an alligator behind you, and a grizzly bear in front of you. What do you do?

On the way to Prague we spent a night in Český Těšín.

W drodze do Pragi spędziliśmy noc w Czeskim Cieszynie.

We checked into a hotel and were very surprised when we got to our room. The door opened into a bathroom and you had to walk through it to get to the bedroom.

Zameldowaliśmy się w hotelu i bardzo zdziwiliśmy się po dotarciu do naszego pokoju. Drzwi otworzyły sie na łazienkę i trzeba było przejść przez nią aby dojść do sypialni.

We met up at “U Mamy” (“At Mom’s) with our friends Sabinka and Jacek and their son Oskar.

Spotkaliśmy się “U Mamy” z naszymi przyjaciółmi Sabinką i Jackiem, i ich synem Oskarem.

Later we were joined by other friends of ours and like in the good old student times we just sat on a bench by the river and drank staple Czech liquor, Becherovka.

Early the next morning we took a train to Prague.

Później dołączyli do nas nasi inni przyjaciele i jak za starych dobrych studenckich czasów siedzieliśmy na ławce nad rzeką i piliśmy Becherovkę.
Następnego dnia rano złapaliśmy pociąg do Pragi.

The ‘Dancing Building” a.k.a. “Fred & Ginger” is nipped in at the waist so it doesn’t block the neighbors’ view.

‘Tańczący Budynek’ zwany również ‘Fredem i Ginger’ jest wcięty w talii aby nie zasłaniał widoku sąsiadom.

Mosquitos loved her. So did Lee.

Komary ją uwielbiały. Lee podzielał ich zainteresowanie.

In the evening we headed to a friendly little café nearby our hostel where we were the only non-locals. Over nakládaný hermelin (marinated stuffed camembert) and more Černý Kozel we made plans for our next day in Prague.

Wieczorem udaliśmy się do przyjaznej małej kafejki niedaleko naszego hostelu gdzie okazaliśmy się być jedynymi nie-miejscowymi. Nad nakládaným hermelinem (marynowanym nadziewanym camembertem) i kolejnymi Černými Kozelami planowaliśmy nasz kolejny dzień w Pradze.
